Lake Ripley - Cambridge, WI

Lake Ripley is in Cambridge, WI (about 30 minutes from Madison)

When we went to Lake Ripley, I swam for most of the time.  It was really fun, mostly because the water was warm, so I did not have to run out of it every five seconds. The water had algae in it, but that was near the beach.  There were no tiny fish swimming near the beach.   It was not very crowded.  The park has a playground, swings, lots of open grass space, and a beach.  The beach was really clean.  I didn't see any trash.  Before we went home, we went into the changing room.   It was horrible.  The water in the shower was colder than the lake, the floor and walls were cold and wet, and there was only one shower.  Once we came out of the changing room, I went to see the concession stand.  I was surprised that they sold floaties and swim diapers along with many food and drink items.
